On June 22, Vice President of City University of Macau, Zhou Wanlei, and his delegation visited the university, and Vice President Fan Wen met with the visitors at the Academic Exchange Center of the South Campus, accompanied by the main leaders of the International Office and the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
On behalf of the university, Vice President Fan Wen welcomed Vice President Zhou Wanlei and his delegation. He said that Chang'an University has always adhered to the international education and attaches great importance to cooperation with universities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.Especially in recent years, Chang’an University has been approved by the Ministry of Education for four exchange programs between faculties and students of universities in the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao, and has continued to carry out cooperation and exchanges with relevant universities in Macao, which has received positive responses from teachers and students. Subsequently, he introduced the basic information and internationalization of Chang'an University, and hoped to take the signing of the agreement between the two universities as a new starting point to promote fruitful results in many fields such as mutual visits between teachers and students, scientific research and so on.
Vice President Zhou Wanlei expressed his gratitude to the university for its reception, introduced the City University of Macau, and emphasized the achievements and experience of the internationalization of scientific research. He said that the future industry of data science has played an important role in promoting the development of smart industries in the Greater Bay Area and the country, and cultivating leading talents in data science and information technology, and hopes to combine the advantages of the School of Data Science of City University of Macau and the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence of Chang'an University to expand cooperation channels and promote the common development of both sides.
Vice President Fan Wen and Vice President Zhou Wanlei signed an inter-university cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities, and discussed the possibility of future cooperation at the master's and doctoral levels in Sino-foreign cooperative education, and expressed that they will jointly carry out multi-level international scientific and technological cooperation in the field of big data.
After the meeting, Vice President Fan Wen accompanied Vice President Zhou Wanlei to visit the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence of Chang'an University.
