The Founding Ceremony of China-Central Asia Alliance for Talent Development in Transportation Infrastructure

On November 17, The founding ceremony of China-Central Asia Alliance for Talent Development in Transportation Infrastructure was held in Xi'an.

Zhang Xiaodong, Second Inspector of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Ministry of Education; Wang Shusheng, Director of the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province; Chen Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chang'an University; Sha Aimin, President of Chang'an University; Amirgaliyeva, President of Academy of Logistics and Transport of Kazakhstan; Kapenova, Vice President of Tulane University; Elmuradov, Director of the National Institute of Urban Planning of Uzbekistan and more than 200 representatives, including officials from the Ministry of Education and the provincial education department, presidents of Chinese and Central-Asian universities, as well as those from scientific research institutes, enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, attended the meeting.

Zhang Xiaodong, Wang Shusheng, Chen Zhijian, Sha Aimin, Cheng Mingqi, Chen Lei, Amirgalieva, Kapenova, Elmuradov, Turayev, Safarov, Sultanova and Yurdoshev jointly unveiled China-Central Asia Alliance for Talent Development in Transportation Infrastructure. The conference signed an order-based joint training agreement between Chang'an University, the Institute of Urban-planning of Uzbekistan and the University of Central Asia.

Before the meeting, Sha Aimin, president of Chang'an University, met with the guests and introduced the current situation of his Alma Mater. Representatives, such as Kapenova, Elmuradov and Rahmon gave speeches.

Meet with foreign delegations 

On the same day, the first council of the alliance was held, Wang Hengbin, General Superintendent of Education of the Shaanxi Provincial Government, and Chen Gang, Director of the General Coordination Division of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, attended the council. The meeting reviewed the Charter of the China-Central Asian Five-Country Talent Development Alliance in  Transportation Infrastructure and elected the executive director unit and chairman of the first council. Sha Aimin was elected as the first chairman of the alliance and issued the Xi'an Declaration.

The First Council

Wang Hengbin congratulated the establishment of the alliance on behalf of the Shaanxi Provincial Education Department. He put forward expectations for the construction of the alliance, hoping that the alliance will promote the hard connectivity of transportation infrastructure, the soft connectivity of transportation technology standards, and the heart connectivity of international talents, so as to build a closer China-Central Asia community of common destiny. Chen Gang said that the Shaanxi Foreign Affairs Office will fully support the alliance to deepen the joint training of talents, strengthen cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, and enrich the achievements of the Belt and Road construction.

Initiated by Chang'an University, the alliance is a non-governmental, non-profit, open and international educational cooperation alliance between China and transportation universities and engineering enterprises of five Central Asian countries. The alliance is committed to jointly building a talent training cooperation platform in the field of transportation infrastructure for China and Central Asia, promoting multi-dimensional friendly cooperation among members of the alliance, and building a China-Central Asia community with Strong Connectivity transportation infrastructure, Soft Connectivity of transportation technology standards, and Heart-to-heart Connectivity of international professionals. The alliance aims to further serve the national Belt and Road Initiative, help with the comprehensive revival of the Silk Road, and promote the common development and prosperity of all countries.
