Chang'an University Signed a Cooperation Agreement with Riga Technical University

To further promote the exchange and cooperation between our university and the universities along the Belt and Road, President Sha Aimin and President Leonīds Ribickis of Riga Technical University(RTU) signed an inter-university cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities recently.


According to the agreement, in order to promote educational and academic exchanges and commit to high-level international cooperation, both sides will, on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, mutual collaboration, and common development, focus on strengthening the sharing of high-quality educational resources, vigorously promote mutual visits of teachers and joint training of students, jointly organize international conferences, deepen cooperation in scientific research, continuously expand the breadth and depth of cooperation fields, and further promote exchanges and cooperation between our university and universities in Central and Eastern European countries.


RTU was established in 1862, and it is the oldest and most famous public university in Eastern Europe and the top institution of higher education in Latvia. The university has outstanding strengths in science and technology, with five major key experimental platforms and 55 international research projects in transportation planning, urban planning, energy and environment, electronic communication, materials engineering, and safety engineering. It is ranked 751st-800th in the 2022 QS World University Rankings, 300th-350th in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Engineering and Technology, and 350th-400th in Mechanical Engineering.
