Oscar OTOKA, Member of Congo (Burundi) Parliament Visited CHD

On the morning of May 26th, senator of the Republic of Congo and chief technical dispatcher of large-scale engineering committee Oscar OTOKA and his party visited our university. President Sha Aimin met with visitors at the Welcome Hall of Tangcheng Hotel. The heads of the University Office, Science and Technology Department, International Office, Materials College and International College met with him.

President Sha Aimin welcomed senator Oscar OTOKA and his party visited again. He briefly introduced the recent development of the university, focusing on the international cooperation and exchange of the university. He said that the university has always been committed to the development of internationalization, paying special attention to the education work of studying abroad in China, establishing a long-term mechanism for the work of overseas students, and forming a characteristic training mode of university-enterprise cooperation for overseas students. The work of studying abroad in China has achieved remarkable results. He pointed out that the university has given full play to its disciplinary advantages and has cooperated with China Road and Bridge Group to jointly train students from the Republic of Congo. Up to now, it has enrolled more than 100 students from the Republic of Congo study in the university and has become a successful model for the joint training of foreign students. He emphasized that the in-depth development of China-Africa cooperation has provided a rare opportunity for university-enterprise cooperation to jointly train talents for African countries and for the two sides to carry out multi-field cooperation. He hoped that the two sides would strengthen communication and in-depth exchanges in more fields in the future and make greater contributions to the promotion of infrastructure construction in Republic of Congo and deepening the traditional friendship between China and Congo.

 

Senator Oscar OTOKA expressed sincere gratitude to the university for the long-term hard work in training students from Republic of Congo through university-enterprise cooperation, expressed appreciation for the outstanding achievements of the university in training foreign students, and highly agreed with President Sha Aimin's idea of international development and deepening cooperation between the two sides. He said that Republic of Congo highly values its cooperation and exchanges with Chang 'an University. The two sides have laid a solid foundation for cooperation in their long-term exchanges and have achieved remarkable results. He pointed out that university-enterprise cooperation in training foreign students in China is a characteristic interpretation of Chang 'an University's deepening of international talent training and provides important talent guarantee and intellectual support for the development of Republic of Congo infrastructure construction. He hopes to take talent cultivation as a link, continuously expand cooperation and exchanges between the two sides in more fields, and strive to promote the establishment of closer cooperation between the two sides.
