On November 2nd 2017, Professor Lv Ming, academician of Academy of Norway, the foreign scholar project expert Professor Brunner Philip from University of Neuchatel, Switzerland visited Chang’an University and were appointed as the guest professors. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed the guest at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by heads of the International Office, School of Geology Engineering，and School of Environmental Engineering.
Vice President Zhao Junhai extended his warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Lv Ming and Professor Brunner Philip, and briefly introduced Chang’an University from the perspectives of school size, characteristic of subjects, and cultivation of talents. Also, he introduced international exchanges based on the vocation features in detail. He hoped that through this visit, the three universities can strengthen the scientific cooperation and talent nurturing, keep broadening the collaboration field and deepen the level of cooperation, to fully promote the exchange and collaboration among the three universities. Vice President Zhao Junhai requires the related schools to create good-quality working condition, care for their work and life, and also provide advanced platforms.
Professor Lv Ming and Professor Brunner Philip expressed their appreciation for the reception and showed high agreements to the cooperation proposals put forward by Vice president Zhao Junhai. They said it is a great honor to be the guest professor of Chang’an University. Chang’an University has strong disciplines and featured vocational service function. They look forward to establishing various kinds of exchange and cooperation and will spare no efforts to contribute to the discipline development of Chang’an University.
After the meeting, Vice President Zhao Junhai awarded the guest professor appointment letter to Professor Lv Ming and Professor Brunner Philip.
