Interscholastic Cooperation Agreement With University of Illinois at   Urbana - Champaign Signed

In order to speed up the implementation of strategy of the internationalization of the school, in recent years, our university actively expanding cooperation and exchanges with world-renowned universities. President Ma Jian and Prof. Robert J. Jones, the president of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign signed the cooperation agreements on behalf of Chang' an University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, respectively.

Under the agreement, to promote education and academic exchanges between the two universities, the two sides will be based on equality and mutual benefit, complementary, mutual cooperation and common development, to cooperate and exchanges on the teachers and students in the exchange, cooperation in scientific research, co-sponsored seminars, the establishment of information sharing moreover to establish and develop a comprehensive, long-term and stable cooperative partnership.

Founded in 1867, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a prestigious research university with a world-class reputation. It is ranked 11th in American News and World Report in 2015 by the American Public University and the 35th in the World University Ranking, and 59th in the World University Rankings in QS2015-2016. The University is a founding member of the American Big Ten, a member of the American Association of Universities (AAU), known as the "Public Ivy", and the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Michigan known as "the US public university Big Three ". The School of Engineering is located in the top five universities in the United States, almost all engineering professionals are in the top ten in the United States, electrical, computer, civil engineering, materials, agriculture, environment, machinery and other professionals rank the top five.
