On the October 20th2016, Prof. Michel PAVAGEAU, director of the International Department of the French Mining Telecommunication Union invited to visit Chang’ an University. Accompanied by the director Jiang Zaiwen, director of the office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Prof. Xie Yongli, dean of School of Highway and Prof. Ma Zhanmin, dean of School of Electronic and Control Engineering, President Zhao Xiangmo welcomed the arrival of Prof. Michel PAVAGEAU in the Guest Hall of Academic Exchange Center.
President Zhao expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of Prof. Michel PAVAGEAU and gave a brief introduction of our university from the history of university, distribution of school district and the characteristics of disciplines, highlighted the basic situation of the foreign cooperation and exchange. He pointed out that disciplines characteristics of our university in highway transportation, land resources and the environment, urban and rural construction are obvious. In recent years, the university attaches great importance to cooperation and exchanges with overseas well-known educational institutions and he hoped that through the visit of Professor Michel PAVAGEAU, and speed up the cooperation of our university and the French Mining Telecommunications.
Prof. Michel PAVAGEAU expressed sincere gratitude to the warm reception and appreciated the concept of Internationalization. He gave a brief introduction of the basic situation of the French Mining Telecommunications and highlighted the basic situation of their university with Chinese universities to carry out joint training students, cooperative research. He said that this visit is to further implement the intention of cooperation between the two sides, hoping to accelerate the two sides in the field of student co-cultivation.
After the meeting, Professor Michel PAVAGEAU and the directors of office of International Department, School of Highway and the School of Electrical and Control Engineering on the cooperation project conducted in-depth discussion and reached a broad consensus.
