On the July 15thto 18th2016, 2016 International Conference of Transportation Infrastructure and Materials was held in our university by Chang’an University and International Association of Chinese Infrastructure Professionals.
During the meeting, the "China-Africa Transport Strategy Research Institute", jointly established by our school and South Africa, was held in our university. The leaders of the opening ceremony were: Academician Alex Visser, Academician of South African Institute of Engineering (SAAE), Senior Professor of Pretoria University, Wang Yuchen Director of South Africa-China Transportation Cooperation Center, Professor Zhou Wei, Chief Engineer of Ministry of Transportation, Prof. Sha Aimin , Vice President of Chang'an University, Chairman of ICTIM2016 Executive Committee ,Prof. Xie Yongli ,Dean of Highway College of Chang'an University, Secretary Tian Xinmin and Vice President Wang Jianjun of Highway College.
"China-Africa Transport Strategy Research Institute" to "the Belt and Road" as an opportunity to promote extensive cooperation and exchanges between China and Africa in the transport sector highway construction, scientific research, personnel training to achieve China and Africa complement each other in traffic field.
