On May 6th 2016, invited by “111 Project on Information of Vehicle-Infrastructure Sensing and ITS”, Professor Theuns Henning, director of Transportation Research Center from University of Auckland, New Zealand, Professor Emanuele Toraldo from Italy Road Research Laboratory University of Milan, Professor Jose Balbo from University of Sao Paulo, and Professor Ningyuan Li from University of Waterloo, Canada, visited Chang’an University and conducted academic exchanges. Accompanied by the Related officials of International Cooperation and School of Information Engineering, the Vice President, Zhao Xiangmo welcomed the guests in the Guest Hall of the Academic Centre with hospitality.
The Vice President Zhao Xiangmo expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Theuns Henning and gave a brief introduction of the university from the school scale, major disciplines, talent development and the foreign exchanges in cooperation development. Also, he hoped that the visit of Professor Theuns Henning and the delegation could promote deeper cooperation of related disciplines between the two sides. Professor Theuns Henning and other professors gave a brief introduction to their universities and their willingness to cooperate in the fields of scientific research and personnel training.
After the meeting, Professor Theuns Henning and the delegation visited the laboratory at School of Information Engineering and conducted academic reports. A number of teachers and students at School of Information Engineering attended the reports and participated in discussions actively, creating a warm atmosphere.
