On March 21th 2016, Professor Tanigawa Akio, Dean of Social Science Department of Japan Waseda University Visited Chang’an University. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed Professor Tanigawa Akio in the Guest Hall of the Academic Centre with hospitality, accompanied by the Assistant of the President Biao Xiaohong, directors of the International Cooperation Office, Social Sciences Administration Department, School of Information Engineering ,School of Literary Arts and Communications.
Vice President Zhao Junhai expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Tanigawa Akio and gave brief introduction to the university from the aspects of the education scale, the characteristic of the subjects and the cultivation of the talents, especially from the aspects of characteristic specialized subject introduced our school to participate in national large-scale infrastructure construction situation and foreign exchange situation in our school. He hoped that taking this visit as an opportunity, both sides would have a further understanding about each other, enhance mutual trust and make efforts to establish a comprehensive cooperative relations of the exchange of visits by teachers, students, cooperation in scientific research.
Professor Tanigawa Akio expressed sincere gratitude to the warm reception, and made a brief introduction to the basic situation and development of international communication of Waseda University. He expressed his agreements with Vice President Zhao about the idea of the cooperation between the two schools long term planning. He said this visit was in order to implement the two schools cooperation intention last year in the related field and taking this sign as an opportunity, he hoped both sides can carry out the cooperation and communication as soon as possible in more fields, build atmosphere and solid foundation for the all-round cooperation, make efforts to build a more close relations of cooperation.
After the meeting, the Assistant of the President and Dean of the Social Science and Administration Professor Biao Xiaohong，Deans of School of Information，School of Literary Arts and Communications represent the related faculty signed a cooperation agreement respectively with Waseda University. After that，Professor Tanigawa Akio visited laboratory of School of Information Engineering and made the academic report "The Science of the World" for the teachers and students.
