President of University of Northern British Columbia Visited Chang’an   University

On March 11th, 2016, Professor Daniel Weeks, president of University of Northern British Columbia in Canada, visited Chang’an University on invitation. President Ma Jian and vice president Zhao Junhan welcomed the guests in the Guest Hall of Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by the directors of Development Planning Department, International Cooperation Office, School of Economy and Management  as well as School of Environment Engineering.

 

President Ma Jian welcomed the arrival of professor Weeks and the delegation with hospitality and gave a brief introduction to the basic information of Chang’an University from the perspectives of the developing history, campuses, characteristics of the subjects and the education scale. President Ma Jian reviewed about the signing of collaboration agreements and start of the cooperation. President Ma Jian pointed out that Chang’An University value the communication and cooperation with foreign institutions very much, and he hoped that both universities would be able to sooperate in a larger field, and hopefully, with this opportunity, a much more substantial cooperation in exchanging project and joint training would began in no time.

 

Professor Daniel Weeks expressed sincere gratitude towards the hospitality. He presented a brief introduction to the University of Northern British Columbia. Professor Weeks agreed with President Ma Jian in the proposal of encouraging the cooperation between two universities. He said that the purpose of this visit is to broaden the cooperation space and have a detailed discussion about the collaboration intentions.

 

After the meeting, accompanied by the vice president Zhao Junhai, professor Weeks and the delegation visited the laboratory of Information Engineering School.
