Professor Chen Huibang, President of Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education Visited Chang’an Univers

On December 14, 2015, President of Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education Professor Chen Huibang visited Chang’an University on invitation. President Ma Jian and Vice President Zhao Junhai had a meeting with the honorable guests in the hall of Academic Communication Center. Directors of Development Planning Department and International Cooperation Office attended the meeting.

 

President Ma Jian extended a warm welcome to President Chen Huibang, and gave an introduction to Chang’an University from the aspects of university history, campus distribution, discipline features, students scale and international cooperation and exchanges. He pointed out that Chang’an University is a comprehensive university with distinctive characteristics, which has provided important intellectual support for the national infrastructure construction. In the future, Chang’an University will continue to highlight the school characteristics, strengthen cooperation and exchanges and make full use of high-quality resources at home and abroad to constantly improve the educational level. He also reviewed the cooperation process with Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education since the signing of cooperation agreements between the two universities. He said that the two schools have a solid foundation for cooperation, hope that with the visit of President Chen Huibang as an opportunity and the signing of Student Joint-Education Agreements as a breakthrough point, the cooperation in faculty visits, students exchanges and scientific research between Chang 'an university and Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education could be substantially deepened.

 

President Chen Huibang expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements Chang’an University has made in various fields. Besides, he introduced the basic situation of Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education. He highly appreciates for President Ma Jian’s proposals for promoting the comprehensive development of higher education with the characteristics of the school and strengthening exchanges. He reviewed the situation that in 2012, President Ma Jian led a delegation to visit Taiwan Hsinchu University of Education, and pointed out that, since the signing of cooperation agreements, the two universities have made good progress in faculty visits and student exchanges. He hopes that on the foundation of the current cooperation, with the startup of the Students Joint-Education project as a new opportunity, the exchanges and cooperation with Chang’ an University on various aspects could be accelerated to a higher level.

 

After the meeting, President Ma Jian and President Chen Huibang signed Student Joint-Education Agreements in the No.5 Conference Room.
