Professor Venkat in University of South Florida Visited Chang’ an University on Invitation

On the afternoon of September 25, 2015, professor Venkat, (AIChE)Fellowassociate editor of IEEE Sensors Journals and Professor in University of South Florida visited Chang’an University. Vice President Zhao Junhai warmly welcomed the honorable guests and had a meeting with them. Directors of International Cooperation Office, School of Electronic& Control Engineering and School of Information Engineering attended the meeting.

 

The two sides held discussion in Academic Communication Center and exchanged views on promoting further cooperation between two universities. Vice President Zhao Junhai stressed that internationalization has become one of the major development strategies of Chang’ an University. The university improves the depth and breadth of internationalization by means of teachers and students exchanges, cooperation research and other various forms. He hoped that both parties will take this visit as an opportunity for further cooperation on the basis of current cooperation research to promote comprehensive cooperation in various fields.

 

Professor Venkat expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception of Chang’an University, and highly appreciated for the significant contribution and success in highway transportation sector of Chang’an University. He also gave countenance to Vice President Zhao Junhai’s proposals for comprehensive cooperation between the two universities. He hoped that both sides could further broaden cooperation channels, strive for more cooperation opportunity, and provide more opportunities and platforms for mutual development.

 

After the meeting, Professor Venkat visited Micronanoelectronic Institute in School of Electronic& Control Engineering and laboratories in School of Information Engineering.

 

Professor Venkat had thorough discussion and reached wide agreement with the Directors of International Cooperation Office, School of Electronic& Control Engineering and School of Information Engineering, focusing on specific cooperation models in the field of joint education, faculty exchanges and cooperation research.
