On September 17 2016 Professor Ivanovich, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Balovnev Vladilen Ivanovich and Professor Dr. Nikolai Seliverstov from Moscow Automobile Road University visited Chang' an University on invitation and participated in the "Fifth Construction Machinery and Vehicle Engineering Progress International Conference." Vice President Zhao Junhai met with the guests in Guest Hall of Academic Exchange Center. Representatives from The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and School of Construction Machinery attended the meeting.
Vice President Zhao Jun-hai warmly welcomed Academician Ivanovich and his delegation, and gave a brief introduction to historical evolution, school size, subject characteristics, scientific research and other aspects of Chang' an University, with emphasis on highway transportation, land resources, urban and rural construction and the developments of other advantage disciplines. He also briefly reviewed the exchange history of older generation between the two universities and stated the importance of inheriting the fine tradition of good cooperation, and both sides should make full advantage of featured disciplines. In the new historical page, the cooperation relation of the two universities could be revived and comprehensive collaboration between two universities in every field could be substantially pushed forward.
Academician Ivanovich expressed thanks to the warm reception and highly endorsed the proposal on promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields. He hoped both sides can strengthen comprehensive cooperation in scientific research, personnel training, and put forward concrete proposals for cooperation in machinery and equipment robotics, renewable pavement materials equipment and technology, co-founder of the international journal and so on.
