On May 27th 2015, Professor Haneda Tooru , president of Kanto Gakuen University of Japan visited Chang’an University on invitation. President Ma Jian had meetings with the honorable Japanese guests in Guest Hall of Academic Exchange Center. Vice President Zhao Junhai, Directors from Office of the President, Division of Development and Planning, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.
President Ma Jian warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation of Kanto Gakuen University of Japan and gave an introduction to the various campuses and the construction of the new Weishui campus, with the emphasis on roads, bridges, tunnels and other large engineering projects that Chang’an University has participated in and its internationalization strategies.
He points out that international cooperation between universities is in the very important stage of the development. Chang’an University always pays a great deal of attention to the development of internationalization, and nowadays it is actively improving the level of international communication. He states that Chang’an University has established cooperative relationships with many universities in Japan and has versatile approaches to improve the collaboration like exchange visits of faculty members, joint-education of students and scientific collaborative projects .He believes that through the cooperation of the two universities, both parties can learn from it the successful experiences.
President Haneda Tooru expressed thanks to the hospitality and introduced the development of Kanto Gakuen University of Japan. He had a high opinion of President Ma Jian`s analysis of the international higher education and really appreciated the ideas of the cooperation between Chang’an University and Kanto Gakuen University of Japan. He hopes this visit can promote the cooperation between these two universities.
