Chang'an University Signed An Inter-Univerisity Cooperation Agreement with 2 Foreign Institutions of Higher Education and Scientific Research

In order to further promoting exchanges and cooperation between Chang’an University and other high-level universities, in December 2021, CHD president Sha Aimin signed a memorandum of cooperation with Joël COURTOIS, president of the EPITA School Of Engineering & Computer Science  (EPITA), and Nicola Casagli, president of the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics in Italy (OGS), respectively. 


According to the agreement,the two parties will strengthen educational resource sharing and cooperation, promote students’two-way exchanges, reinforce teachers’scientific research cooperation, deepen the cooperative relationship between the two sides, and promote international education cooperation exchanges and technological innovation in order to promote educational and academic exchanges between schools and commit to high-level international cooperation. All these activities are on the basis of equality and mutual benefit,complementary advantages, mutual cooperation and common development.

 

EPITA was established in 1984, with six campuses, and is a top engineering school providing bilingual education in English and French. It is strong in its disciplines and specialties, ranking first in France in the fields of computer science and software engineering, and in 2019 was selected as one of the top 10 engineering schools in France in terms of overall strength.

 

The OGS is a public research institution with a European as well as an international orientation. It is composed of the Meteorological Observatory, the Ocean Observatory and the Geophysical Institute, which were established in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and its research is focused on oceanography, geophysics and marine geology, with a strategic infrastructure including marine research vessels, dedicated to the assessment and prevention of geological, environmental and climatic risks, the protection of the environment and natural resources, and the transformation of scientific results, thus contributing to national technological innovation and socio-economic development.
