On the morning of December 11, Gennady Ferraletov, the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the tenured professor ofNational Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Anatoly Gertegov, the lead researcher of National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute, and other three guests visited our university. Vice president Zhao Xiangmo, accompanied by heads of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Information Engineering and School of Electronic Control, met with the guests in the VIP Room of Beichen Building of Weishui Campus.
Vice president Zhao Xiangmo extended warm welcome to the five guests and introduced the recent development of CHU from the aspects of discipline characteristics, talent cultivation, scientific research and international cooperation and exchange. He pointed out that Chang 'an University always adheres to the concept of internationalized development, attaches great importance to the cooperation and exchanges with Russian universities, and is committed to carrying out practical and comprehensive cooperation with Russian universities in the framework of China-Russia cultural exchange mechanism, including mutual visits of teachers, exchanges between students, cooperative scientific research and social services. He also said in thefuture, CHU would take the "Double First-Class" construction as an opportunity, take the initiative in meeting the major strategic needs of the country and the local government so as to pool the strength of the characteristics and advantages of the discipline and cultivate internationalized talents, and further promote the cooperation and exchanges with famous universities in the countries involved in "Belt and Road Initiative", such as Russia. He hoped to take this visit as an opportunity to continuously deepen the cooperation between the two universities in the aspects of student cultivation and scientific research so as to achieve common progress on the basis of win-win cooperation.
Academician Ferraletov expressed sincere thanks for the warm welcome and highly agreed with vice president Zhao Xiangmo’s vision of promoting internationalization and deepening the cooperation between the two universities. He briefly introduced the basic situation of National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute and reviewed the recent cooperation with CHU in student joint cultivation, scientific research and other aspects. He pointed out that the two sides have laid a solid foundation for cooperation through long-term and stable exchanges and cooperation. He said that this visit is aimed at further implementing the cooperation consensus between the two universities and discussing the possible cooperation in other areas.
