President Sha Aimin of our university will continue to appoint the chairman of the department committee of the second World Transport Conference (WTC). The leaders of 13 universities including Southeast University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Central South University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, Beijing University of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Changsha University of Technology, Shijiazhuang Tiedao University were appointed vice chairmen of the academic committee. WTC academic committee is a specialized organization for academic construction, coordination and management of WTC, and an important carrier for improving the academic quality and scientific and technological level of WTC. The second academic committee consists of nine departments, including highway engineering, bridge engineering, tunnel engineering, transportation engineering, transportation planning, water transportation, rail transportation, air transportation, and interdisciplinary subjects. It basically covers all modes of transportation, main subject directions and key research institutions.

The World Transportation Conference has been successfully held for three times.
